New Dubai airport set to begin operations
DWC was mammoth compared to other projects the city had embarked upon in past years in its race to fame and development. Unexpectedly, the financial crisis posed a serious speed-breaker in the government’s ambitious plans. However, while many real estate projects have been scrapped, infrastructure and economic development has not lost its priority despite the financial issues the city continues to face.
Bridging the gap
For instance, take Dubai World Central, the Logistics and Industrial cities, while Abu Dhabi is also planning to enlarge its offerings in this respect. Dubai’s World Trade Centre exhibition district also competes against Abu Dhabi’s Adnec.
