The keynote address comes on the heels of a recent announcement by Dubai government to spend $7.8bn on new and upgraded terminals of its two airports – Dubai International and DWC Al Maktoum International. The plan is to deliver aviation infrastructure which will support the continuation of the sector’s growth, facilitate Dubai’s economic expansion and generate 22% of total employment and 32% of the emirate’s GDP by 2020.
